Then someone steals Chuck’s truck. With Katey needing a shot of Zombrex very soon, Chuck searches Still Creek for the drug, and a way out of town.Chuck leaves Katey to find Zombrex. After traveling through the small town, Chuck then discovers a road block with an overturned ambulance which may have Zombrex inside.
Chuck and Katey drive into Still CreekEdit
Escaping Las Vegas
Radio: This is Rebecca Chang reporting live from just outside Law Vegas. It has been almost twelve hours since the first reports of a zombie outbreak in Law Vegas. The death toll is estimated to be over on hundred thousand, and as many as a staggering one million people may be infected. To ensure that the contagion does not spread, the military has set up a fifty mile perimeter outside Las Vegas. They have "shoot to kill" orders for anyone off the main roads. Military and government personnel are screening everyone at the roadblocks before allowing them to leave the quarantine area. The number of vehicles leaving the city has trickled to a stop in the last few hours, an ominous sign that few survivors remain…Sources say that the controversial drug Zombrex, which is said to inhibit the zombification process for a period of twelve hours, is being widely administered. Anyone discovered to be infected but not yet turned will be quarantined and reportedly given medical attention.
Katey: No daddy! No!
Chuck: Nobody likes shots, honey. But it is very important that you get this!
Katey: Daddy, I don't like shots.
Chuck: You won't have to take another one for a long time. A whole twelve hours.
Katey: Maybe we'll run out.
Chuck: Sorry sweetie. Daddy's got a few more.
Radio: The fate of the quarantined remains unclear at this time. The government has issued no statements regarding where they will be taken, or what will become of them.
Chuck: Hello? Anybody here?...Katey, stay right here…Hey! That's my truck! Stop!...Son of a bitch! The Zombrex…
Katey: Daddy, there's a man over there.
Chuck: We're ok now honey. They can't get in.
Chuck: Katey, Daddy loves you so much.
Katey: But where are you going?
Chuck: I have to go get some more Zombrex and figure out how to get us out of here.
Katey: But no, Daddy, I don't even like Zombrex!
Chuck: I know, honey. But it's very important, you need another one before bedtime. You stay here. I promise, I'll be back as soon as I can.
Katey: You're not afraid of those bad people outside?Chuck: Nothing's going to stop me from keeping you safe.
Brockett Gas Station safe houseEdit
After the Introduction, and two screens explaining Zombrex, Chuck will begin the game in the Brockett Gas Station. The Brockett Gas Station is a safe house where the game can be saved, where Chuck can escort survivors too, and create combo weapons with the maintenance bench. Katey will wait here the entire game. There are several weapons in this room.
Chuck's first Combo WeaponEdit
Walk to the brown maintenance bench. A yellow action icon with a hand will appear prompting Chuck to "Place Item". Press the button to place the first item on the bench. An explanation screen will appear, explaining how maintenance benches work. A blue wrench action icon will then appear, prompting Chuck to combine. Press again.
Another cutscene will begin, showing that Chuck has made his very first combo weapon, a Spiked Bat, and explaining what a combo weapon is.
Adjacent rooms in the Safe HouseEdit
In the adjacent room is the main entry where Chuck pushed the vending machine across to stop the zombies. This room has Orange Juice (to the left on the garage door) and Snacks. Pick up at least one orange juice.
Roof of the Safe HouseEdit
On the roof is a sniper rifle near the front of the store. The roof is reached by a ladder behind the main entrance room counter.
Car Scrap YardEdit
After creating the Spiked Bat and picking up at least one orange juice, exit the garage. The exit Chuck will use is in the garage Katey is in, next to the maintenance bench. The door exits into a car scrap yard, turn left and walk around the derelict cars.
Save Game shackEdit
There is a small blue shack at the edge of the Auto Scrap Yard. Enter this shack. A Explanation screen appears explaining saving.
In this shack are two doors, one to the left and one directly in front of Chuck. Open the door directly in front of Chuck with the bathroom sign above the door. Here is a bathroom which is a save point. This is one of three save points in Still Creek. Save the game.
The other door is to Still Creek. Open the door.
|In searching for Zombrex Chuck must travel across this small town to the Quarantine Zone. Turn right, following the guide arrow at the top of the screen. This will take Chuck past the center of town.
Approaching Quarantine ZoneEdit
As Chuck approaches the edge of town, there is a red quarantine sign and stop sign. A cutscene begins, starting Case 0-2: Find Zombrex.
